The teenage years are incredibly complex. Between navigating intense social pressures, academic stress, identity exploration, and a rapidly changing world, it is easy for teens to feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or completely burned out. Whether they are withdrawing, acting out, or quietly carrying the weight of the world, you don't have to navigate this season alone.
My Approach to Teen Therapy
Standard, face-to-face talk therapy can sometimes feel intimidating or ineffective for teens—especially those who are neurodivergent or processing trauma. I provide a warm, affirming, and entirely non-judgmental space where your teen is in the driver's seat. We move at their pace, prioritizing trust, autonomy, and psychological safety.
Because words aren't always enough, I often weave in visual and expressive arts, and Sandtray Therapy. These creative, hands-on approaches give teens a powerful, low-pressure way to process big emotions, explore their inner world, and heal without having to find the "perfect" words to explain how they feel.
What We Can Explore Together
Therapy is a collaborative space tailored specifically to your teen’s unique brain and lived experience. Together, we can navigate:
Neurodivergence: Untangling the exhaustion of masking, understanding ADHD/Autism, and learning to work with their wonderfully complex brain.
Identity & Authenticity: Exploring gender identity and sexuality in a deeply affirming, supportive space.
Trauma & Transitions: Healing from painful past experiences, abuse, bullying, or major life changes.
Overwhelm & Burnout: Regulating the nervous system, managing anxiety, and easing the pressure of perfectionism.
Self-Trust: Building healthy boundaries, self-advocacy, and confidence for the future.
Finding Their Authentic Self
Therapy should be the one place where your teen doesn't have to mask, perform, or pretend. It is a dedicated space for them to simply be exactly who they are, untangle their stress, and build the resilience they need to thrive.
