I believe that healing begins when we learn to be deeply compassionate with ourselves. My passion is helping clients safely meet and embrace all the parts of themselves they once had to abandon or set aside just to survive.
For over 18 years, I have walked alongside neurodivergent individuals and trauma survivors. Rather than ignoring limiting beliefs or masking pain, we work through them together. My goal is to help you create true internal safety so you can experience the profound freedom of revealing your most authentic, beautiful self.
My Clinical Roots
As a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor (LPC-S) and a Registered Play Therapist - Supervisor (RPT-S), my foundation is anchored in extensive clinical experience. My background includes nearly two decades of counseling across major medical settings—including Baylor Scott & White and Healthpoint—as well as six years in dedicated private practice.
I have specialized in trauma and neurodiversity from the very beginning of my career. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Person-Centered and Child-Centered therapy. To support profound healing, I am trained in EMDR and frequently incorporate Expressive Art Therapy and Sandtray techniques for older children, teens, and adults.
The Amethyst: Intuitive & Energetic Integration
I understand that everyone and everything is energy. I seamlessly incorporate energy practices into our sessions, always guided strictly by your personal belief system and comfort level.
I also utilize tarot and intuitive picture cards in my practice. Depending on your needs, these can be used as a powerful psychological tool grounded in Jungian Depth Psychology to access the subconscious, or—when explicitly requested—as a tool for deeper spiritual support and guidance.
Deconstructing Religious Trauma
A significant part of my practice is devoted to holding space for those who have experienced religious trauma. I intimately understand the pain and difficulty of deconstructing learned dogma, and the immense courage it takes to reconstruct your life based on a deeper, truer understanding of yourself.
Many of us were taught to put God in a rigid box. In our work together, you are free to explore what exists beyond that box—the expansive energy of Source, the spirit of creation, and the universal truth that all is love.
Beyond the Therapy Room
When I am not working with clients, I am actively nurturing my own body and spirit so I can fully show up for yours.
I am known by my friends as a "color opportunist"—I absolutely love and need vibrant colors in my life. I am an avid creator who loves watercolor, collaging, quilting, and crafting. I share my home with four wonderful cats (though I love dogs, too!). To ground and settle my energy, I turn to nature. Whether I am spending time by the ocean, watching the clouds, reading, creating art or simply talking to my trees, I find ways to stay deeply rooted and connected to the world around me.
